Partnering with AIGA

Corporations may partner with AIGA as long-term or short-term sponsors. Opportunities for corporate involvement with this influential audience include the following:

National partnerships
are tailored to a company’s marketing position, providing visibility and integration with numerous AIGA activities. This is the one partnership that AIGA will actively and visibly endorse with constant reinforcement. National Partners become an integral part of the AIGA community, ensuring brand loyalty. AIGA limits the number of National Partners to six in any given year.

Program partnerships
offer opportunities to align with key initiatives that AIGA launches to respond to members’ priorities or the needs of the profession. These programs offer a link between a company and the most pressing interests of current designers.

Conferences
and event sponsorships are available for all companies that desire high-impact visibility and direct access to targeted audiences of designers. Audiences range from 200 global leaders for the Aspen Design Summit and 300 for educator conferences, to 800+ business and design leaders at “Gain: AIGA Business and Design Conference” and 2,500+ attendees at AIGA’s biennial design conference.

Competitions and exhibitions
are offered to designers striving for excellence through two national competitions, “AIGA 50 Books/50 Covers” and “365: AIGA Annual Design Competitions.” Both conclude with an exhibition of selected entries that is held in the AIGA’s National Design Center on Fifth Avenue in New York. Each exhibition is then available to travel to AIGA chapters and special interest groups across the country.

Research
projects range in topic from the design economy to education. A sponsor company receives visibility commensurate to its support, with opportunities for co-branding. In addition to scheduled research, AIGA is open to exploring other shared areas of interest with its partners.

Publications
available for sponsorship include web periodicals that address not only issues of form and content, but also context; publications that address specific AIGA initiatives; critical publications; and supporting publications for exhibitions.

Online sponsorships
sponsorships provide your company with broad visibility, as well as targeted marketing opportunities aligned with specific topic areas. AIGA’s website (www.aiga.org) attracts, on average, more than 200,000 unique visitors per month. Online sponsorships tend to be integrated in national and program partnerships, but certain areas of the AIGA website allow for stand-alone sponsorship.

Global initiatives
reflect AIGA’s participation and leadership in international forums. Our international plans focus on working with educators, students and professionals in the emerging economies that will also be important to sponsors, such as China, India and South Africa. AIGA China was launched in 2006. Because of our expanded reach, we seek support from—and extend visibility to—organizations interested in reaching these global markets.
