AIGA Birmingham, Design Week Birmingham, and the Department of Art and Art History at UAB present a preview screening of Graphic Means, A History of Graphic Design Production. Following the film, director and producer Briar Levit will speak about the project and take questions.
It’s been 30 years since the desktop computer revolutionized graphic design. Graphic Means documents production from the 1950s through the 1990s—from linecaster to photocomposition, from paste-up to PDF. To learn more about the film, click here.
Admission is free for all student ID holders and all UAB ID holders, general admission is $5. Online registration is open now and will end at 5:00 pm on the day of the event. You can also register at the door. AIGA Birmingham will not share your information if you choose to register.
